USDA RURAL DEVELOPMENT - Water and Waste Disposal
Description: Provides funding for direct loans and grants to improve rural community water, sewer and waste water, and solid waste disposal programs.
Funding Mechanism: Formula allocation for the state. The service area must be under 10,000 in population. Grants may be available if the median household income at or below $46,632 if needed to reduce annual costs of the system similar to what comparable communities are paying. Contact the Wisconsin Rural Development office for details. Wisconsin rural development will receive a state allocation of the national total.
